Static shielding bags protect static-sensitive electronic components and devices (PCBs) from electrostatic discharge (ESD) during shipping and storage.
Anti static shielding bags have four layers: a static dissipative coating, polyester, an aluminium shield and static dissipative polyethylene. This creates a Faraday cage effect around the product, preventing static charge from entering the bag and damaging its contents.
The static shielding bags fully comply with the IEC 61340-5-1 ESD Standard and can be safely used within ESD-protected areas.
